Coronavirus infection and death are increasing day by day in the country. Initially, identification and death were limited to Dhaka. The infection has gradually spread to all parts of the country. Identification and death are on the rise. However, after more than four months, the number of diagnoses and deaths in Dhaka is declining at a comparative rate.

Figures found in the data analysis of the last three months of the Department of Health. It is seen that according to the bulletin of last April 25, 309 people were identified in the previous 24 hours, of which 8 percent were from Dhaka. And 9 people died, 6.7 percent of whom are here. In the 24 hours before May 25, 1,985 people were identified, 75 percent of whom were in Dhaka. Of the 21 people killed that day, 52.38 percent were in Dhaka. According to the latest bulletin dated June 25, 3,946 people were identified in the previous 24 hours, of which 49 percent were from Dhaka and the remaining 51 percent were from outside Dhaka. Of the 39 people killed on the day, 25.84 percent were from Dhaka and the rest were from outside Dhaka.
Since the beginning of corona infection in the country, the detection and death rate in Dhaka division has also decreased as an average of total detection and death. Till last April, the number of identified patients in Dhaka was about 90 percent, which has now come down to 64.43 percent. And the death rate in Dhaka was 8 percent at the beginning of April, it has now come down to 52.96 percent.

Analysis of these statistics further shows that the detection and mortality rate is increasing rapidly in Chittagong outside Dhaka. In particular, after Dhaka, the death rate in Chittagong has risen to the highest 28 percent. It was followed by Rajshahi at 4.04 percent, Sylhet at 3.62 percent, Barisal at 3.22 percent, Khulna at 2.64 percent, Mymensingh at 2.71 percent and Rangpur at 2.5 percent.

Data analysis shows that in the last three months, there has been a shift in identification and mortality with some departments.
Professor. Mirzadi Sebrina Flora told Kaler Kanth, "Although there is not much difference in the number of deaths per day, we can see that the death rate in Dhaka has decreased in comparison to the prevalence of the infection."

Asked why detection and mortality are declining in Dhaka, the pathologist said, "Before, there was only infection in Dhaka. Now it has spread all over the country. In the early days, if anyone was infected in different districts outside Dhaka, they would rush to Dhaka for treatment. Now this number has come down a lot. Most of those infected outside Dhaka are staying in their respective areas. The same thing is happening with death. As before, many of the information coming from outside Dhaka would have been added as Dhaka; But now that is not happening - the information of the district is rising as it is there. '

Expressing concern over the situation in Chittagong. Flora said the situation in Chittagong deteriorated rapidly after Dhaka. Both identification and death have increased.
The analysis of the data shows that the detection and death rate in Dhaka, which was before the second week of this month, is changing rapidly. In particular, as detection and mortality rates go down in Dhaka, they go up outside Dhaka. In this case, sometimes the death toll in Chittagong is higher than in Dhaka. For example, 10 people died in Dhaka and Chittagong yesterday. In addition, according to the data obtained from June 1 to 14, the death rate in the Dhaka division (including the metropolis) has risen from 8 to 26 percent. On the other hand, the death rate in Chittagong has risen from 40 to 16 percent during this period. From June 15 onwards, the death rate in Chittagong continued to rise faster than that of Dhaka.

This is the picture of departmental deaths before June 24 to June 18: 10 in Dhaka, 9 in Chittagong, six in Rajshahi, seven in Khulna, one in Barisal, one in Rangpur and three in Mymensingh. 16 in Dhaka, 15 in Chittagong, six in Rajshahi, two in Khulna, one in Barisal, one in Sylhet and two in Mymensingh. 15 in Dhaka, 12 in Chittagong, two in Rajshahi, two in Khulna, two in Mymensingh, one in Sylhet and four in Barisal. 16 in Dhaka, 11 in Chittagong, two in Rajshahi, four in Khulna, four in Barisal, one in Sylhet and one in Rangpur. 10 in Dhaka, 13 in Chittagong, five in Rajshahi, two in Khulna, two in Barisal, four in Mymensingh and one in Rangpur. 21 in Dhaka, 16 in Chittagong, two each in Rajshahi and Khulna, one each in Barisal and Sylhet and four each in Mymensingh. 14 in Dhaka, 16 in Chittagong, two in Khulna, one each in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Barisal and Mymensingh. 21 in Dhaka, 12 in Chittagong, four in Rajshahi, two in Khulna, one in Rangpur, one in Sylhet and two in Mymensingh.

In this regard, the former director-general of the Department of Health, Prof. Shah Monir Hossain told Kaler Kantha, ‘Yes, the percentage of attacks and deaths in Dhaka has decreased. But not less in number. In this case, I will say, what has been infected now is our fault. In other words, we could not keep it effective even with the lockdown. Instead, I have called people from outside Dhaka to Dhaka and spread the infection all over the country. Otherwise, just as the incidence and mortality rate in Dhaka would have been less, it would not have spread like this outside Dhaka. '
