The Chinese government will be the first to extend a helping hand to Bangladesh in the light of the generosity with which Bangladesh was by its side during the Chinese aggression, ”said Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Malek.

He was speaking at a press briefing at the VIP lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday to bid farewell to a delegation of 10 doctors from China.

The Bangladeshi minister said, "If the rate of coronary heart disease continues to increase in this way, another two thousand new doctors will be appointed." Besides, the recruitment of medical technologists is also underway. The government will take action after understanding the situation in Korona in the future.

On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Zhang Zhou said that Bangladesh would be the first to get the vaccine if it was discovered. During the briefing, Director General of the Department of Health Prof. Abul Kalam Azad spoke with the Health Minister.

The briefing was attended by the Health Minister along with representatives from China and health officials.
